Last year's conference champion, Akron, headlines a deep East division in the MAC, with Buffalo and Ohio each bringing back plenty of offensive firepower in hopes of dethroning the Zips this season.  The "Wild Wild West" division is completely up for grabs, after only 3 games separated the co-champions (Ball St. and Central Michigan) from the last place team (Western Michigan) a year ago.

Despite graduating two of the Valley's all-time greats in Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker, the Shockers will once again be the odds-on favorites to win their 4th conference title in a row.  However, Barry Hinson returns a formidable group of seniors at Southern Illinois that has Saluki nation eyeing their first league crown in almost a decade.

Steve Fisher's Aztecs once again reigned supreme of the Mountain West last year, but were stunned in the conference tournament final by Fresno State, led by POTY Marvelle Harris.  San Diego State now looks to avenge their disappointing finish to the '15-'16 season, but will have to go through New Mexico and Nevada, two emerging contenders that can match the Aztecs' talent level.

Rinse. Wash. Repeat... John Calipari continues to re-load in Lexington, making Big Blue nation, once again, the SEC's clear frontrunner this year.  Mike White's Florida Gators appear to be the next best challenger, but a group of 5-6 teams have a shot to emerge as the league's official runner-up behind Kentucky.

Fresh off another Olympic gold medal, Coach K now returns home to Durham, North Carolina, where the most talented team in the country awaits him.  However, the ACC's middle-tier will be loaded with depth, headlined by Buzz Williams and his Virginia Tech Hokies, making anyone beatable on any given day, especially on the road...
